With over 35 years in telecommunications, Rick Suarez has been the driving force behind MasTec Communications Group’s growth since 2012. Known for his people-first leadership, Rick combines deep industry knowledge with a focus on financial performance and operational excellence. He builds trust and collaboration with employees and customers and has positioned MasTec as an industry leader in innovation and reliability.

Telecom veteran Dave Cundiff has over 34 years of experience leading wireline and wireless initiatives, including the transition from 1G to 5G. Since joining MasTec in 2018 he has led teams in operations, client management and program initiatives, driving efficiency and innovation. He has expertise in network integration and organizational development to ensure MasTec exceeds industry standards.

With over 20 years of telecom finance experience, Todd Smith oversees financial operations, reporting and strategic planning at MasTec. As CFO since 2015 he has streamlined processes, reduced costs, and managed acquisitions. As a Certified Public Accountant and former Ernst & Young employee he has the skills to drive efficiency and growth.

Jesus Lebena has over 25 years of experience in supply chain, operations and sales and a strong technical background in engineering. He has degrees in electrical and industrial engineering and business administration and uses his expertise to optimize operations and deliver results. Outside of MasTec, he is a community leader and volunteers for national charitable projects.

With over 30 years of experience, John Vento leads deployment and project management for MasTec in the US and Puerto Rico. He has expertise in financial management, business development, and operational turnarounds and has held leadership roles in cable, wireless and telecom startups. He brings a broad and dynamic perspective to the MasTec leadership team.

Seth Sherwood has nearly 30 years of telecommunications experience and leads MasTec’s Wireline/Wireless West Region with a focus on broadband infrastructure growth and operational excellence. His career began in engineering and network operations, including leading major expansion projects at Comcast. Before joining MasTec, he founded and grew a successful telecom construction company, which was later acquired by MasTec. Now, Seth oversees the Wireline/Wireless West Region, emphasizing safety, quality, and client satisfaction. His leadership and entrepreneurial mindset have been pivotal in advancing MasTec’s goals and shaping the telecom industry.

With 40 years in telecommunications, including 18 in executive leadership, Rob Opdyke leads the Southeast Region for MasTec’s wireline group. Known for building high-performing teams, he drives strong financial results and operational efficiency while fostering a collaborative, people-focused culture.

Mike Hargrove brings nearly 40 years of experience in communications infrastructure. He leads more than 700 professionals delivering fiber-based design solutions and spearheaded the integration of Byers Engineering into MasTec. Previously holding senior leadership roles at BellSouth and AT&T, Mike is recognized for driving innovation, expanding broadband, and strengthening disaster recovery capabilities.

Mike Boyle brings more than 25 years of telecommunications experience to hisrole leading MasTec’s Wireline North Region. He has a proven record of driving market expansion, building large-scale networks, and guiding diverse teams through planning, construction, and implementation to deliver measurable results for customers.
